About Tyler Norris
Tyler Norris is the Founding President of Community Initiatives LLC, a firm providing strategic consultation and performance support to community collaborations and healthcare organizations. In early 2004, CI merged with Quality Data Management Inc, and Tyler became the President of the combined firms. His mission is to transform the way health and healthcare organizations lead, learn and perform.
He serves as founding Co-Chair of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation's National Leadership Alliance and Chair of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Active Living By Design program. Tyler is also President of the Kuhiston Foundation in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Previously he served as Director of the U.S. Coalition for Healthier Cities and Communities, a nationwide network of over 1,500 community partnerships and organizations. In the past decade Tyler has worked in over 250 communities and organizations in the United States and internationally - helping initiate scores of civic, health, education and social venture projects. He is regularly asked to design, help implement and measure the outcomes of strategic planning and capacity building initiatives. Prior to founding Community Initiatives, Tyler served at the National Civic League as Director of the Civic Assistance Program. Tyler is co-author of Trendbenders (American Hospital Association, 2002), Facilitating Community Change (Grove, 2000) and the Community Indicators Handbook (Redefining Progress, 1997). His current focus is on blending the use of emerging technologies with the art of community-building to increase access to community learning and performance supports. |
