Jim Adelson currently serves as President and Managing Member of Nadel and Gussman, LLC and its affiliates. Nadel and Gussman, a long time oil and gas business, was founded in 1935 by Herb Gussman and his father-in-law Isadore Nadel. Nadel and Gussman have business locations in Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana.
A long time Tulsa resident, Jim graduated from Edison High School and in 1985 received a Bachelors of Arts and Sciences from Cornell University with a major in Economics. After working for Shearson – Lehman Brothers, an innovator in global finance serving the financial needs of corporations, governments and municipalities, Jim left New York and returned to Tulsa for a position at Nadel and Gussman.
Jim is a member of Young Presidents Organization and serves on the United Way Board, the Library Trust Board, and the Tulsa Community Foundation Board. In addition, he serves as a board member of Nimrod, a publication of the University of Tulsa that seeks to celebrate both experimental and traditional writers.
Jim is married with three children and is actively involved with youth sports.
