Committees Step Up Tulsa! is structured in a way that ensures an organized process with input from a broad range of organizations, agencies, businesses and institutions in the Tulsa area. The success of the process relies on thorough research, strong communications, civic engagement and progress assessment.
Coordinating Council
Co-Chair: James Adelson, CEO, Nadel & Gussman
Co-Chair: Samuel Combs III, President, Distribution Companies, ONEOK The governing body consists of 50 people. It is diverse to assure both public credibility and demonstrated competence and will hold the community accountable for implementing the plan.
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee of the Coordinating Council is made up of the Coordinating Council's Chairpersons and the Chairpersons of all the subcommittees. The President of Funders Roundtable and Executive Director of Tulsa Community Foundation are also voting members.

Civic Engagement Committee
Co-Chair: Ken Busby, Executive Director, Arts and Humanities Council
Co-Chair: Michael Ordaz, Office Administrator, Department of Finance, City of Tulsa Co-Chair: Casey Stowe, Vice President, Oklahoma National Bank Co-Chair: William Tisdale, President, Tisdale Consulting Company Tasks: Targeting 5,000+ participants from the community; Engaging government, philanthropic, not-for-profit, corporate leaders, as well as the general public in facilitated discussions/dialogues about the community's assets, service gaps, core issues and action steps
Research Committee
Co-Chair: Brent Isaacs, Community Planning Consultant
Co-Chair: Darcy Melendez, Area Development Director, Metropolitan Tulsa Chamber Tasks: Collect, analyze and do coalescing work around the myriad organizational and collaborative plans in place in the community; Gather and present current reality data/information; Support Asset Mapping activity
Stakeholders Group
A group of 100-150 area residents/leaders that will use the information provided by the Research and the Civic Engagement Committees to identity Tulsa's unique strengths and opportunities, to assess Tulsa's specific service gaps, to develop the action plans required to resolve those gaps, and to build the public/private partnerships necessary to implement the action plans.
Evaluation
The process includes comprehensive qualitative and quantitative evaluation plan that measures, at a minimum, the following three elements:
